Sébastien Lambot is an Extraordinary Professor and FNRS Research Director at the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain, Belgium). He obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in agricultural and environmental engineering from UCLouvain in 1999 and 2003, respectively, with his doctoral research focusing on ground-penetrating radar (GPR) full-wave modeling and inversion. Following his Ph.D., Dr. Lambot was awarded a European Marie-Curie Post-Doctoral Fellowship, during which he conducted research at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands from 2004 to 2005. From 2006 to 2012, he held dual appointments at UCLouvain, where he was appointed as a Professor, and at Forschungszentrum Jülich in Germany, where he served as a Research Group Leader.
